Hi Everyone!
I love chocolate milk. I think you know that. As you know, I’m a proud Powered by Chocolate Milk ambassador, and I have some big news!! And this is no April Fool's - this is #fo-real. What an awesome way to start kicking off your spring thing, no matter what the sport, crazy goal or race.I have 5 prize packs to give away. Want to see what's in them? Check out the photo below!
Awesome, right? Yes, I would like to win one, but I'm out of the running, but you're not and it's all yours (well, could be!) if you enter. Entering the giveaway definitely increases your chances of winning by 100% (compared to not entering :)
What a sweet package for active, happy chocolate milk drinking people! There's a $50 Running Room gift card, an aluminum water bottle, dri-fit shirt, and of course chocolate milk! And you could win it - it's SUPER easy!
To enter, leave a comment below with details on your favourite post-workout recovery tip. I want to hear them all - even if you think it's crazy - if you like it, it's gold. Let us know!
Then, tweet to me, “I just entered to win a @pbchocolatemilk prize pack on @gillianliz blog. #pbcm”
Tada. Soooo easy. The only thing easier is drinking free chocolate milk. Which you might be doing...
At the end of the week on Friday April 11, I’ll be announcing the names of five lucky winners. Don’t forget to follow me so I can get your contact information! Winners must live in Western Canada. That's it, that's all. I hope you win! Can't wait to hear your entries!
In the meantime, here's how I'm recovering these days - with a growing happy healthy baby who wants everything I eat :)
Good luck everyone! xo
After a long run pushing my 10 month old son in the stroller, with two dogs attached to me, I recover by either drinking chocolate milk or some hot tea and then hold my son on my shoulders while my legs are in an ice bath for 20 minutes. We then follow it with a warm bath for my son with lots of toys!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Warm bath is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteNot going to lie, after a tough race nothing beats a soak in the hot tub complete with a glass of wine and cheese. It may not be the healthiest for the body but it's good to spoil yourself... no?
ReplyDeleteYes, totally ok to spoil yourself. Life is short!

ReplyDeleteI'm fond of compression socks (and a nap).
ReplyDeletenaps! always a fan :)
DeleteChocolate milk and Compressport - kinda like milk and cookies, right?
ReplyDeleteTotally. Those are two of my faves!
DeleteFood/drink (chocolate milk is a favorite of mine) and lying on the kitchen floor near the heater with my legs up against the fridge. It just feels great. The trouble comes in when I lie on the floor before getting food and then I can't find the energy to get up to prepare and eat it. Which is where chocolate milk comes in very handy!!! Quick, tasty and good for recovery! (Gotta love that 3:1 carbs:protein ratio!)
ReplyDeletelegs up is the best! you just need a big straw for the chocolate milk so you can stay on the floor!
DeleteUm... collapsing on the floor is my style. I'm a new runner, don't look to me for advice! But I do think a drink and a snack can't go wrong at just about any time...
ReplyDeleteI too have collapsed on the floor - you never really appreciate floors until a good post training collapse :)
DeleteA protein shake and a short nap! :D
ReplyDeleteefficiency defined! nice!
DeleteI usually wait to eat until after I run, so having a sandwich and re-fuelling on liquids usually gives my body back everything it needs and makes the energy from my run last for the rest of the day!
ReplyDeletesounds good! i can't eat too much before runs after - which means i'm always HUNGRY after. great work!
DeleteStrech out, drink some fluids (choc milk is nice) take a nap
ReplyDeleteopps stretch - spelling fail :P
