I know my blog friends will enjoy reading what you faced, and how you overcame it. ...I should be so lucky to have you read my report.

Thanks for explaining that turn buoy being so far out of place. I could not figure out where I was supposed to go.

I had big plans for this race and the swim was the only real question mark. What happened ... happened. I am proud to say that my first 140.6 was St. George 2012. It will be one for the history books.

As far as racing ... yeah - I have a huge fall (7 tris - including IMAZ). I am energized and healthy. I conserved and enjoyed the day so much that I am pretty much recovered already.

Thanks again for reading and way to GO!Bryonmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16645566222076727426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7364806110310764684.post-58623731993100955612012-05-08T08:50:26.614-07:002012-05-08T08:50:26.614-07:00thanks Judy! i really appreciate it!
I am definit...thanks Judy! i really appreciate it!

I am definitely a water kid, but only learned to swim freestyle a few years ago, but spent tons of time in the ocean & open water. i would say that in general, being in a big ocean with waves/whitecaps is a LOT easier than being in a lake with constant chop. you have a lot more time in between wave sets in the ocean, and in the lake it was about every 3-4 seconds, so very much more tiring to fight it.

i am really looking forward to my next race at Mt Tremblant 70.3 to be a teeny bit easier than this one :)gillian claytonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06811478795951989684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7364806110310764684.post-22180855053321460662012-05-08T00:09:09.050-07:002012-05-08T00:09:09.050-07:00Wow! I love waves but then I haven't been out a mile with no vision of where to go. I will be following you!
